1. Tube suspects
Police are continuing to question two men on suspicion of terror offences related to the tube explosion in London last Friday.
An 18 year old was arrested at Dover Port on Saturday, while a 21 year old man was arrested later that day at a chicken shop in London.
Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack, but UK Home Secretary Amber Rudd has said there is “no evidence” to prove that to be the case.
2. Boris Johnson
Boris Johnson has caused controversy with a newspaper article that repeated last year’s ‘£350 million extra for the NHS’ post-Brexit pledge.
Theresa May, en-route to Canada for trade talks, has looked to re-assert control, stating that the government hasn’t made any decisions on money beyond Brexit. “This government is driven from the front,” she told journalists, in an apparent shot at the description of Johnson doing ‘backseat driving.’
3. UN General Assembly
The UN General Assembly is set to take place this week, with President Donald Trump set to address the institution which he has previously criticised.
A key issue is set to be North Korea, with their Foreign Ministry preempting the Assembly by warning that further sanctions will only “increase our pace towards the ultimate completion of the state nuclear force.”
