The Social Mobility Pledge at True Potential Investor
Please note this blog post was published over 12 months ago and so may not include the most up-to-date information, for example where regulation around investing has changed.
Throughout our business, we are committed to giving young people the opportunity to progress. That’s why we were one of the first businesses to sign the Social Mobility Pledge.
Launched by Justine Greening MP and the Harrison Centre for Social Mobility, becoming a Social Mobility Pledge accredited employer demonstrates commitment to accessing and progressing talent from all backgrounds.
We were delighted to welcome Justine to our head office recently, where she was thrilled to hear from Kieran Howe about his progress in the company. Kieran joined True Potential Investor as an apprentice IT support worker. In December 2017 he was awarded the Baltic Training Services Apprentice Of The Month.
Speaking to The Chronicle, our Managing Partner David Harrison said “Social mobility is really about having opportunities to get on and be at your best. At True Potential we have a truly diverse workforce because we employ on merit irrespective of background. I really believe what matters is where you are going not where you came from. That’s why I was so pleased to partner with Justine and create the Social Mobility Pledge and why True Potential has signed up to it.”
