True Potential Investor Atlantic Row Forecast Update

Stu’s weather man Silver Fox (Peter Fox) has posted an update and a forecast for the True Potential Investor Atlantic Row-

“Silver back again with an update on Stu Morton and the good ship Wallace!”

Since leaving at 1356 hrs from Lagos in Portugal Stu by 0400 hrs (2nd Feb 2018) has now cracked 14 hrs and 4 mins into his incredible challenge to row the Atlantic from mainland Europe (Portugal) to mainland South America (Venezuela). A total of 3,689NM.

He has also covered 26.72NM (nautical miles). This is giving him an average SOG (Speed Over Ground) of 1.91 knots (equivalent of 1.15 miles). This could make it a 45.84 NM day (24 hrs).

Stu averaging 1.91nm per hour would give a challenge record of 80 days 11 hrs 15 mins from yesterday meaning he would clearly beat the record of 92 days.

He would at this rate arrive on the NW tip of Venezuela on 23rd April 2018 at 0015 hrs UTC (Universal Time standard) which would be 7 hrs behind UTC in Venezuelan time.

For your interest the challenge is completed in one time code and that is UTC (in effect GMT and by April we would be in GMT + 1 HR summertime).
